Terms of Service
Effective October 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Snowmelt Group, Inc., a Delaware corporation that runs taiku (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using taiku, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and why.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 to use taiku, and old enough to enter a contract where you live to buy a paid plan. Keep your sign-in safe. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, including what your API keys, devices and agents do.
One person per account. If you sign in for a company, you’re agreeing to these terms for it too.
Plans and billing
taiku has a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Pro is billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renews until you cancel. We never see your card number.
- You can cancel any time in your settings. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to Free.
- We don’t refund part of a billing period, except where the law requires it.
- If we raise the price of your plan, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.
- Prices don’t include taxes. Where tax applies, it’s added at checkout.
- If a payment fails, we’ll try again and tell you. If it keeps failing, your account moves to Free.
What you can run on taiku
taiku lets you, and agents working for you, run code on your own machines and in cloud workspaces we host. That’s the point of it. You’re responsible for what you and your agents run, the same as if you’d typed it yourself.
Don’t use taiku to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- get into machines, accounts or networks you don’t have permission to use, or scan or attack them;
- send spam, or host or spread malware or phishing;
- mine cryptocurrency or run anything else in a cloud workspace whose main purpose is to use up its compute;
- get around plan limits, or into sessions, workspaces or data that aren’t yours;
- harass the people you share sessions with;
- overload or interfere with the service, or try to reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows.
If something you run puts other users or the service at risk, we may stop it (for example, stop a cloud workspace) while we sort it out. We’ll tell you when we do.
Your content
Your code, files, terminal sessions and everything else you bring to taiku stay yours. We need permission to handle them in order to run the service, so you give us a license to store, process, copy, transmit and display your content, only as needed to provide taiku to you and the people you share with. For example: relaying a shared session to the people you invited, or keeping a cloud workspace’s files between runs.
We don’t use your code, files or sessions to train AI models.
When you share a session, the people you share it with can see it, and type into it if you let them. You choose who that is.
The assistant over iMessage and SMS
If you link a phone number, taiku’s assistant can text you about your sessions and agents, and you can text it back to ask for things.
- Message frequency depends on what you ask for and what your agents do.
- Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop messages. Reply HELP for help, or email support@taiku.live.
- Carriers aren’t responsible for messages that are late or don’t arrive.
AI output
Agents and the assistant use AI models, some run by other companies. What they produce can be wrong, out of date, insecure, or harmful to your files and systems if you let it run. Read what an agent proposes before you approve it, and keep backups of anything that matters. You’re responsible for what you let an agent do and for how you use what it produces.
Don’t rely on AI output alone for decisions where a mistake could hurt someone, such as medical, legal or financial ones.
Other services
taiku connects to services run by other companies: GitHub and Google for sign-in, Stripe for payments, AI model providers, and the speech-to-text provider described in our Privacy Policy. Their own terms apply to how you use them.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time, from your settings or by emailing support@taiku.live. We delete your data as our Privacy Policy describes.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people or the service at risk, or that the law requires us to close. When we can, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem or get your data out. If we close a paid account for a reason that isn’t your fault, we’ll refund the part of the period you didn’t get.
No warranties
We work hard to keep taiku up and your data safe, but we provide taiku “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if we were told they might happen.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about taiku is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
If someone makes a claim against us
If you break these terms or the law while using taiku, and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, including lawyers’ fees.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change matters, we’ll tell you by email or in taiku at least 30 days before it applies. If you keep using taiku after that, you’re agreeing to the new terms. If you don’t agree, you can close your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we both agree to their jurisdiction.
If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part right away, we haven’t given it up. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about taiku.
